about

Going deeper into space, on the successor to "Starshot" Chris Wirsig explores more of space - from far-away galaxies to black holes. The title song "Deep Into The Rose" is dedicated to a pair of interacting galaxies, Arp 273, also dubbed "Rose" due to their apperance - as shown on the NASA image used for the album's cover. The galaxies, 300 million light years from earth, in the constellation Andromeda, stand for the beauty, vastness and wonder of the universe.

The songs on "Deep Into The Rose" convey Wirsig's fascination and amazement with space and space exploration - the perfect soundtrack for an imaginary trip to the stars, adventures on alien planets, and exploration of "strange new worlds." Also included on the album is a live-in-the-studio improvisation piece, "Shapeless Apparition," that explores a trance-like world of sound.

Emotive, hypnotizing electronic instrumentals in the vein of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze...
